The work done at Pagoeta to promote the presence of the yew and its accompanying species continues at a good pace. The low altitude of this Gipuzkoan enclave and its proximity to the coast means that the end of autumn continues to be a suitable period for working in the mountains.

The mountain of Palencia shows an important representation of yew woods within the Natural Park of Fuentes Carrionas and Fuente Cobre-Montaña Palentina and its Special Area of Conservation (SAC). The Park has extensive forest stands of beech and sessile oak next to juniper in the rock of higher moutains.
The Exhibition "Welcome to LIFE BACCATA" extends its stay at "La Casa del Parque de Babia y Luna", in Riolago de Babia, Parque Natural de Babia y Luna, until December 31st. The opening hours of the Park House are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from 11 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 7 pm.

From February 12th to 14th, the LIFE BACCATA team will visit different sites where the LIFE TAXUS project has being developed in Catalonia in order to the study the yew tree with the aim of exchanging experiences on the work carried out by each project.

In recent months, Cesefor, with the collaboration of the Region Castilla y León, within the framework of the Life Baccata project, has carried out a series of actions to improve the state of conservation of Cantabrian yews in the province of León.

The restoration of the 9580* habitat in the Monte Vecinal en Mano Común de Riocereixa (Pedrafita do Cebreiro, Lugo), within the ZEC Os Ancares - O Courel (ES1120001), has been completed. The LIFE BACCATA project, on the occasion of its action C3, has carried out the repopulation of 15.4 ha with characteristic species of the 9580* type.
On October 1st, the Action C3 of the LIFE BACCATA project in Galicia began. This Action consisted of a forest plantation with species characteristic of habitat 9580*. The objective is to increase the area of these species and, consequently,to improve their state of conservation.
In the first days of April, it began the creation of two arboretums through plantations in places of special interest and high tourist influx, in addition to improving and adapting an existing arboretum.
The actions of improvement and conservation of tiles of the Special Area of Conservation (SAC) "Fuentes Carrionas and Fuente Cobre-Montaña Palentina", in the province of Palencia, have been resumed after the temporary suspension due to the state of sanitary alarm by Covid-19.
